In Kazakhstan, urgent response measures have been taken to stabilize the epidemiological situation regarding measles incidence. In order to prevent the further spread of measles among the population, the chief state sanitary doctor signed a decree on conducting additional mass immunization against measles, rubella and mumps.
Thus, on November 6, additional mass immunization against measles, rubella and mumps began for children, regardless of measles vaccination status.
The single distributor, on behalf of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has worked out the purchase of an additional volume of vaccine for immunization of the population. Thus, at the request of the regional health departments, an additional volume of vaccine against measles, rubella and mumps was purchased in the amount of 503,000 doses.
In addition, it is planned to purchase more than 1 million doses of the vaccine, financing of which will be provided from the reserve of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Transportation of vaccines is carried out according to the “cold chain” principle - at each stage, strict temperature control is ensured. When transporting vaccines, registration of receipt and further departure is carried out, with temperature readings recorded in the accompanying documents.
