150 thousand doses of the Sputnik Light vaccine arrived at the warehouse of the Single Distributor SK-Pharmacy on January 17, 2022. In connection with the epidemiological situation, Karaganda Pharmaceutical Complex donated the Sputnik Light vaccine to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan as a free humanitarian aid.
The Single Distributor received a batch of vaccine promptly, according to the order of the CSEC of the MHRK, will be sent to the regions of the country. And in the coming days, citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be available for vaccination against coronavirus infection.
Sputnik Light is a one-component vaccine that is used for revaccination. The Sputnik Light vaccine was developed at the National Research Center of Epidemiology and Microbiology named after Academician N. F. Gamaleya together with the Russian Direct Investment Fund.
The Sputnik Light vaccine was registered in Russia in May 2021. This drug is the first component of Sputnik V. According to the Russian Direct Investment Fund, the effectiveness of the drug was 79.4%. The safety of this vaccine has been confirmed by real vaccination data in a number of countries: UAE, Bahrain, Argentina, Russia, Mexico, Serbia, San Marino, Philippines, Libya, Paraguay, Hungary, Azerbaijan and Belarus. Also, more than 20 publications in leading international scientific journals.
In order to ensure the quality of the vaccine all the way from the manufacturer to medical organizations, the Single Distributor conducts effective monitoring of the cold chain. The Sputnik Light vaccine in the form of a frozen preparation should be stored in a place protected from light, at a temperature not exceeding minus 18°C.
Recall that in Kazakhstan, the following vaccines were used for vaccination of the population: QazVac, Sputnik V, Hayat-Vax, СoronaVac, Sinopharm, Comirnaty Pfizer / BioNTech.
