From October 3, 2022, an influenza immunization campaign will start in Kazakhstan. In preparation for the ARVI season, the Single Distributor, on behalf of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, procured 2,392,673 million doses of the Grippol®plus vaccine produced in Russia for the upcoming epidemiological season.
The vaccine contains antigens against seasonal influenza A (H3N2) and A (H1N1) and influenza type B. The strain composition of the vaccine is updated annually in accordance with WHO recommendations for the current epidemiological season.
As of September 29, a total of 2,095,729 doses of this vaccine have been shipped to all 17 regions of the country. 296,944 doses are on the way and will be shipped to medical facilities on schedule to cover the population of vaccinations.
Deliveries were made under the program for the procurement of medicines and medical devices within the guaranteed volume of free medical care, subject to procurement from the Single Distributor.
As the Single Distributor for free drug provision, SK-Pharmacy has an established logistics network. This logistics network includes 4 large logistics hubs in Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Aktobe and Shymkent, from where vaccines are delivered to medical organizations in these cities, as well as to nearby regions, each of which has operational warehouses.
Vaccines are transported according to the cold chain principle – at each stage, strict temperature control is ensured. When transporting vaccines, the receipt and further departure are recorded with the temperature readings recorded in the accompanying documents.
