The single distributor continues a series of working trips to the regions of Kazakhstan. Thus, on July 21, the Chairman of the Board, Yerkhat Iskaliyev, paid a working visit to the Zhambyl region. During the trip, the head of the Single Distributor met with the regional akim Nurzhan Nurzhigitov and healthcare workers to discuss issues of medical supply.
The meeting with the medical activists of the region was held at the site of the regional multidisciplinary hospital. On the agenda, the parties touched upon a number of topical issues in the drug supply system - accounting and supply of medicines, accounts receivable, purchase of medical equipment and the bidding campaign for 2024.
First of all, it was about the accounting of medicines and medical devices, which is improved every year. For example, an electronic platform is being implemented that allows extracting data in an automated format. And in order to digitalize the drug supply of the Single Distributor, work is underway to consolidate balances at the level of medical organizations, improve and automate the planning processes for medicines by medical organizations, as well as fully automate procurement procedures.
A problematic aspect is the receivables of medical organizations, which are often formed as a result of poor planning in the preparation of budgets by medical organizations. Ultimately, the Single Distributor does not receive the planned amount of financial income, which negatively affects the further development of the entire system of the country's medical supply.
In this regard, the importance of planning and mastering applications by medical organizations was noted. Recall that medical organizations themselves determine their need for the names of medicines, volumes and delivery schedule. The purchase and supply of drugs by the Single Distributor is carried out on the basis of these applications.
Particular attention was paid to the application campaign for 2024, the country's medical organizations have already begun to form their forecast needs for the coming year. As you know, the Single Distributor purchases in advance, so medicines for the next year are purchased already in the current year. The main conditions for the purchase of medicines are the delivery schedule and the need for the availability of medicines in the warehouses of the Single Distributor in December. Shipment to polyclinics and hospitals will begin in January 2024.
Equipping medical organizations with medical equipment remains a key issue. For high-quality treatment of patients, it is necessary to equip medical institutions with modern diagnostic and treatment-and-prophylactic equipment through the effective functioning of the medical equipment market and the availability of a list of conscientious suppliers. Note that the purchase of medical equipment is also carried out through a single distribution system.
As for problems with the supply of drugs, the Single Distributor is working on them locally and systematically. One of the sources of such problems is the non-procurement of drugs due to the lack of proposals from potential suppliers. In this case, medicines are shipped from the carry-over stock, and issues of repeated procurement procedures are being comprehensively worked out.
At the end of the meeting, the medical activists of the region voiced systemic problems and proposals for improving the drug supply system, which will be considered by the Single Distributor individually.
The priority is hearing healthcare, a system that must promptly respond to all requests from stakeholders. This formed the basis and became a key component of the development strategy of the Single Distributor. The challenge is to respond flexibly to changing market demands and be patient-oriented.
The Chairman of the Board, in turn, thanked all the participants of the meeting for their interest, which helps to identify the pressing problems of the industry. “Joint work will open up broad prospects for the healthcare system and give a new impetus to the development of the field of medicine and pharmaceuticals,” said the head of the Single Distributor.
A single distributor is open to direct dialogue and interaction, is set for close cooperation and constructive dialogue, so that each valuable proposal finds practical implementation and becomes a useful tool for improving the provision of medicines to the population.
