On February 2, in order to support the anti-corruption policy pursued by the state, at the initiative of SK-Pharmacy LLP, a meeting was held for the company's staff with Zhazira Zhylkyshieva, a representative of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The representative of the Anti-Corruption Service explained in detail about innovations in the field of combating corruption, the disposition of each article, the procedure for detection and penalties, and also gave examples from real practice on committed corruption offenses.
At the beginning of the year, the Head of State signed the Law “On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Combating Corruption and Ensuring the Security of Persons Subject to State Protection”, which amends the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The purpose of the amendments is to improve legislation and form an effective anti-corruption system by introducing new corruption prevention tools based on advanced international standards.
One of the key aspects of the changes is to consolidate the functions of the Anti-Corruption Service for coordinating the activities of anti-corruption compliance services in the subjects of the quasi-public sector, namely in terms of the exchange of information on combating corruption, methodological support and the development of a Model Regulation on anti-corruption compliance services.
It should be noted that a new position of a compliance officer has been introduced in the staffing structure of the Single Distributor, which is under the direct subordination of the Supervisory Board.
Also, innovations in anti-corruption legislation provide for measures to control the illicit enrichment of officials and ensure proper protection of whistle-blowers.
After listening in more detail to each of the innovations in the law from a representative of the Anti-Corruption Service, the SK-Pharmacy team, in turn, adhering to the principle of openness and transparency, expressed their readiness to introduce new anti-corruption mechanisms into the company's activities, informing employees about changes in legislation.
The representative of the Agency answered questions from employees and summing up the meeting, it was noted that SK-Pharmacy LLP pays special attention to corruption prevention issues. A set of all modern and necessary measures is provided for the timely prevention of corruption and improving the legal literacy of employees. The Company takes effective measures to prevent corruption, form an anti-corruption worldview and raise legal awareness, which can significantly reduce corruption risks.
Compliance with these measures LLP "SK-Pharmacy" will be carried out in close cooperation with the Anti-Corruption Service, and contribute to the prevention of corruption, as well as to carry out work on its prevention on an ongoing basis.
