OCTOBER 15 - WORLD BREAST CANCER DAY

World Breast Cancer Day is celebrated annually on October 15. This date draws attention to the importance of early diagnosis and prevention, as well as access to treatment. This disease is one of the most common forms of cancer among women worldwide, and millions of women face it every year.

According to the WHO, this cancer accounts for 21% of all diagnosed malignant tumors - every eighth woman on the planet suffers from it. In Kazakhstan, over 5.5 thousand new cases of breast cancer were diagnosed in 2023 alone. There were more than 1 thousand deaths from this disease per year.

Early diagnosis of cancer can significantly increase the chances of successful treatment. This is due to the fact that breast cancer detected in the early stages is easier to treat and has higher survival rates. Screening methods such as mammography, ultrasound, and self-diagnosis play a key role in the early detection of tumors. The production will be based on the domestic manufacturer JSC Nobel AFF. To date, antitumor drugs have passed state registration in Kazakhstan and received the relevant permits. One of the main tasks of SK-Pharmaceuticals is to ensure quality control and safety of the supplied drugs.
