PRODUCTION OF PORTABLE MEDICAL COMPLEX WILL BE LOCALIZED IN KAZAKHSTAN

The parties discussed the localization of medical equipment in Kazakhstan, in particular a portable medical complex. The issues of the possibility of using the mechanisms of long-term, off-take and life cycle contracts and export of products to neighboring countries were also raised.

The launch of the production of a portable medical complex will be implemented in the West Kazakhstan or Aktobe regions. The company plans to commission a consolidated production facility with the transfer of international technologies as early as 2023.

The portable medical complex is a convenient system for diagnosing health and is an innovative medical product based on software that allows medical personnel to examine a patient at his or her location and send the received data via the Internet to a specialized specialist as soon as possible to adopt tactics for further treatment.

The complex is a compact backpack of eight different items. Among them there is a multifunctional monitor, which includes an ECG, a pulse oximeter, a tonometer and a thermometer, as well as an electronic stethoscope, a hemoglobin analyzer, leukocytes and a dry biochemical analyzer. The mobile laboratory supports seven interface languages, including Kazakh language. The complex performs remote collection, automatic transmission of diagnostic information and statistical data analysis. Along with this, the innovation allows for early diagnosis using digital mobile solutions. The company claims that technical support can be contacted at any time of the day.

Currently, the company is working on the integration of a mobile diagnostic complex with medical information systems, is testing it in primary health care organizations, and is also carrying out the registration procedure.

This innovation will primarily help provide primary health care to the rural population, which is 41% of the total population of Kazakhstan. Little under half of them are people over 50 years old. Due to the modern complex, every resident of the countryside will have access to a modern mobile laboratory with high-tech equipment.

In addition, this will help increase access to services of profile specialists, reduce the burden on polyclinics and medical staff, address the shortage of medical personnel and medical equipment, as well as save budget funds, considering the wear and tear of medical equipment. An important factor in the introduction of the complex is the digitalization of healthcare, including in rural areas.

The Single Distributor, in turn, supported the initiative and voiced readiness to cooperate on the implementation of the project, noting that this would serve as a tool to increase the coverage of both urban and rural populations in obtaining high-quality and affordable medical care.
