REGARDING THE PURCHASE OF MD "VIONDIS 53" (GOLODIRSEN)

As part of the orphan drugs procurement, a MEMORANDUM of UNDERSTANDING was signed between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, SK-Pharmacy LLP and the Kazakhstan Halqyna Foundation in March 2022.

According to the Memorandum, the Kazakhstan Halqyna Foundation provides medicines to patients with severe life-threatening diseases, including orphan diseases, as part of the financing of charitable projects and programs approved in accordance with the Foundation internal procedures, and pays for the procurement of medicines and medical devices directly to the supplier.

Direct method of payment Foundation "Kazakhstan Halqyna" is an essential condition of the contract.

The Foundation sends to SK-Pharmacy LLP a list and volumes of medicines agreed with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, indicating trade names.

SK-Pharmacy LLP, in turn, provides assistance in the search for drug suppliers. Based on the order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, SK-Pharmacy LLP carries out storage in its warehouses and transportation of medicines to the regions.

As part of the Memorandum, on May 31, an agreement was signed for the supply of the drug under the international non-proprietary name - "Golodirsen", trade name "Viondis 53". To date, the delivery procedure under the contract has begun, which will be carried out after full payment by the Foundation to the Supplier. Tentatively, the delivery of the drug to the Republic of Kazakhstan is scheduled until June 10.

Kazakhstan Halqyna Public Foundation was created on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, given at a meeting of the Majilis of the Republic of Kazakhstan Parliament on January 11, 2022 to solve problems in the field of healthcare.
