At the Unified Distributor site, a meeting was held with the representative of the international pharmaceutical company Rusan Pharma, represented by Chairman of the Board Dr. N. Saxena and Managing Director Dr. Kunal Saxena. The management of Axion resources KZ also took part in the meeting.
Rusan Pharma is a company with 30 years of experience in the international market, developing, producing, selling and exporting medicines and substances. The full range of products is supplied to the EU, UK, Russia, CIS, South Africa, Mauritius, Nepal and Myanmar.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the state and prospects for the development of bilateral strategic partnership in the pharmaceutical field, including issues of attracting investment and increasing exports.
Today, Rusan Pharma produces highly effective pharmaceuticals in various forms and has its own R&D center and clinical research center in India. The company is one of the major suppliers of life-saving medicines to various organizations such as NACO, UNODC, UNOPS, Global Fund and ministries of health in various emerging markets.
Now Rusan Pharma is considering the possibility of entering the Kazakhstan market with a full range of medicines and building a full-cycle pharmaceutical production in the Republic of Kazakhstan with potential export to the countries of the Eurasian space, as well as near and far abroad.
First of all, Rusan Pharma intends to satisfy the needs of the Kazakhstan market with medicines in which there is interest. The company is ready to equip production with its own technologies and train local personnel.
The construction of a local production facility will provide the population with vital domestic medicines at producer prices without a distribution margin, which will reduce Kazakhstan's dependence on the influence of external factors both in the pharmaceutical industry and in the foreign exchange market.
The head of the Unified Distributor, Erkhat Iskaliev, in turn, spoke about the unified distribution system and presented the investment opportunities of the industry, existing instruments, conditions of government benefits and preferences, the high potential of the Kazakh pharmaceutical market and prospects for its development.
It was emphasized that the localization of production at domestic production sites of original drugs with high added value plays a key role in the development of domestic production. One of the key elements of cooperation is the exchange of advanced technologies and experience in the production of medicines. The focus is also on the development of R&D centers for in–house developments and the implementation of a cluster initiative.
The great potential of bilateral cooperation was noted, which will have a positive impact on the quality of medical care and the availability of medicines for the population. The parties voiced their readiness to implement joint projects.
Attracting large pharmaceutical players to the Kazakh market will not only ensure the transfer of technologies to Kazakhstan, reduce dependence on the import of medicines, create new jobs, but most importantly, increase the level of national security.
