SINGLE DISTRIBUTOR STUDIES TURKEY'S EXPERIENCE IN IT AND DIGITALIZATION

On May 10-12, 2022, representatives of the Single Distributor as part of the Government delegation, within the framework of the state visit to the Turkey Republic of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, visited Ankara on a working trip.

During the state visit, representatives of the Single Distributor took part in the Kazakh-Turkish investment and business round table. The parties discussed the prospects for further development of the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Turkey. Much attention was paid to strengthening investment cooperation and the implementation of joint investment projects in the pharmaceutical industry.

At the same time, within the framework of a two-day visit to Ankara, a meeting was held with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey, where the parties exchanged experience on the centralization of the medical equipment procurement, the use of the life cycle contract mechanism.

Representatives of the Single Distributor were introduced to information systems for monitoring medical equipment, and visited the situational center for labeling medicines, IT platforms for healthcare.

Today, more than 3,700 joint companies with Turkish capital are working in our country in various sectors of the economy, and they intend to work together in the IT industry. Specialists of the two countries are actively exchanging experience and working in this area. During the trip, a protocol was signed aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of IT and digitalization.

The Kazakh side offered the Turkey IT giants to launch their IT products for the transition to a platform model of digital architecture and the development of a digital transformation center for government processes in the Kazakhstani market.

It should be noted that over the past ten years, digitalization and automation efforts have been directed mainly towards the medical industry. Our country was able to introduce a number of technologies in a short time, including medical information systems and mobile applications for patients. As a rule, the introduction of digital tools at the level of the healthcare system has a positive effect that will increase the availability, efficiency, and high quality of medical care.

The medical information system (MIS) sets itself the task of automating the internal business processes of a medical organization, supporting clinical and managerial decision-making, a gradual transition to paperless medical information, assistance in improving the quality, safety, and efficiency of medical services, reducing the number of medical errors.

It is worth recalling that in his speech, the Head of State noted the importance of digitalization of the healthcare system, which includes the integration of databases, the creation of a monitoring system for patients undergoing treatment. In the modern world, one of the main factors of competitiveness is deep digitalization. For Kazakhstan, the transfer of modern digital technologies and the introduction of elements of Industry 4.0 are extremely important.

Thus, in 2020, in order to fulfill the instructions of the Head of State, a project was initiated to improve the information systems of the Single Distributor within the framework of the Restart Program of SK-Pharmacy LLP.

Today, SK-Pharmacy LLP Reboot Program is a dynamic and continuous process of improving the activities of the Single Distributor. Formation of conditions for improvement, which, on the one hand, will ensure stable work on improving quality, and on the other hand, being the basis for unlocking innovative potential, will allow the Single Distributor to respond flexibly to changing market requirements and be a patient-oriented company. The main goal of drug supply digitalization is to increase the speed and accuracy of the supply of medical organizations.

As a result of the working trip, it was decided to comprehensively study a detailed plan for the cooperation of the two countries in this direction, and it is also planned to create a working group and a special team of IT specialists and study the standard for implementing automation and digitalization in the healthcare sector. For the implementation of the planned parties will further cooperate, exchange experience and knowledge in the field of health and medicine.
