SINGLE DISTRIBUTOR TOOK PART IN THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL PHARMACEUTICAL FORUM OF UZBEKISTAN

On June 15-16, 2022, the Single Distributor took part in the largest international event – the First International Pharmaceutical Forum of Uzbekistan, which was organized by the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade and the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, as well as the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry under the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan in Tashkent. The forum was dedicated to solving the most pressing problems of the pharmaceutical industry in the countries of the region.

The event brought together more than a hundred experts, leading players in the pharmaceutical markets of the world, these are international and local manufacturers, distributors and representatives of pharmacy chains to discuss new trends in the pharmaceutical industry, share best practices and their own vision of the future of the pharmaceutical industry.

On June 16, at the Forum session on the topic Pharmaceutical market of the CIS countries 2021-2022: the impact of the pandemic and development strategies, the Chairman of the Board of SK-Pharmacy LLP Yerkhat Iskaliyev made a report "On new trends in the legislative system of tender procurement".

The Forum participants were informed about the centralized procurement system operating in Kazakhstan. It was noted that the availability of medical care is an important component of the availability of medical care. In the context of the pandemic and the current global financial and economic crisis, this tool is of particular importance for the economic and social effectiveness of the state in providing medicines.

It should be recalled that SK-Pharmacy LLP, as the Single Distributor, provides medicines to medical organizations and the population of the republic within the framework of the SVFMC, in the SCSHI system, in addition, ensures the development of the pharmaceutical industry by consolidating public procurement of medicines.

"The main task of the Single Distributor work is to organize work in such a way that the system of providing medicines can quickly and clearly respond to changes in demand, be flexible in any emergency situation and focus primarily on the needs of citizens," Ye.Iskaliyev said in his speech.

He also noted that the ultimate goal of the Single Distributor is the modern re-equipment of the Kazakh pharmaceutical industry. The key importance at the moment is the development of the production of expensive innovative products, the promotion of the industry in the direction of technology transfer, localization of original medicines and the production of substances.

Also, the President of the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers in Kazakhstan Vyacheslav Lokshin, the owner of the company Mladex Naila Cherednichenko and the head of the sales department of Mladex Alexander Cherednichenko, as well as the General Director of the Kazakhstan Agency for Health Technology Assessment Alima Almadieva took part in the largest international event from the Kazakh side.

During the Forum sessions, topical issues of the pharmaceutical market of Uzbekistan and neighboring countries were discussed in order to develop the most effective strategies in the context of a global pandemic.

It should be noted that for the first time within the framework of the international forum, a separate session was organized devoted to the analysis of pharmaceutical distribution in the structure of the pharmaceutical industry, where models of interaction between manufacturers, distributors and pharmacy chains, trends and directions of development, measures to improve pharmaceutical distribution were considered.

In addition, during the session, personal meetings were held with the heads of pharmaceutical manufacturers and distributors, heads of pharmacy chains. This became an opportunity for the Forum participants to establish business contacts with leading industry players from different countries of the Eurasian region.

The leadership of Uzbekistan has set ambitious goals for industrialists to increase the volume of localization and export of pharmaceutical products. In order to develop cooperation with major foreign investors, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, as well as the Association of Representative Offices of Foreign Pharmaceutical Companies and Manufacturers in the Republic of Uzbekistan took the initiative to hold the Forum for the first time this year in Tashkent.

The forum pays special attention to the topics of state policy for the development of the industry and measures to support local production, the implementation of GMP, GVP, GDP standards in the pharmaceutical industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
