SITES FOR LOCALIZATION OF PRODUCTION OF GLOBAL VENDORS ARE EXPANDING IN KAZAKHSTAN

At the site of the Single Distributor LLP "SK-Pharmacy" an online meeting was held with representatives of the JSC "West Kazakhstan Machine-Building Company".

During the meeting, the representatives of the company acquainted the participants with their activities, which consist in the development and production of equipment for the production, preparation and transportation of hydrocarbons, oil and gas, power equipment and other engineering products. It also provides for the overhaul and maintenance of gas turbine units.

The parties expressed interest in scaling up contract manufacturing together with foreign manufacturers. Issues of contract manufacturing with major global manufacturers are one of the important areas in the activities of the Single Distributor.

Now, at various stages of the process, negotiations are underway with global vendors for contract manufacturing. Companies such as Canon, Philips, General Electric, Samsung Medison, Mindray, Sinovision, Ibis and others expressed their interest in localizing the production of medical equipment.

These areas are open for investment, including within the framework of concluding long-term contracts with domestic producers. Such projects will receive full support from the state.

JSC "West Kazakhstan Machine-Building Company", in turn, is ready to provide its production site for the localization of medical equipment to large vendors, acting as an assembly site for foreign-made medical equipment. In the future, it is planned to conclude a long-term contract for contract manufacturing.

The chain of online meetings was continued by OrdaMed JSC. Last year, the company entered into MoUs with leading Korean companies GENORAY CO., LTD, JW Holdings Corporation, Samsung Medison Co, as well as with Bionet, SG Healhcare and JW Medical.

Thus, OrdaMed JSC reached an agreement on the production in Kazakhstan of mammography systems, end products of individual medical devices for neonatology, ultrasound diagnostic systems, multifunctional patient monitors, X-ray equipment of various types and equipment in the areas of neonatology, surgery, gynecology.

The company manages one operating production site in the property, two production sites with premises and equipment. Two more are under construction.

During the discussion, the parties exchanged experience on the localization of Korean medical equipment and the conclusion of long-term contracts. The single distributor expressed its readiness to cooperate with domestic manufacturers of medicines, medical devices and medical equipment as part of the conclusion of contracts for contract manufacturing with global vendors.

The single distributor, for its part, is open and ready for cooperation and assistance and coordination on issues arising in the process with domestic manufacturers to improve and develop the pharmaceutical sector of the country and the healthcare sector as a whole.
