The unified distributor is confidently pursuing a course to support domestic manufacturers of medicines and medical devices.

As the Head of State noted in his message to the people of Kazakhstan: "We should intensify cooperation with global pharmaceutical corporations. It is important to attract investors, ensure the transfer of technologies and the latest developments. It is necessary to expand the volume and range of offtake contracts with domestic manufacturers."

Thus, SK-Pharmaceuticals, in pursuance of the order, is implementing a number of measures in this direction - according to the results of the first half of 2024, the share of purchases in monetary terms amounted to 31%, which is twice as much as in 2010, when the share of domestic manufacturers was 15%.

Today, state support in the pharmaceutical industry is provided in the form of concluding:

1. long-term contracts with domestic manufacturers of medicines and medical devices;

2. long-term supply contracts for original patented drugs with customers of contract manufacturing.

Such agreements are concluded for a period of up to 10 years, which allows Kazakhstani enterprises to plan production for several years in advance, contributing to the stability and development of the local pharmaceutical sector.

It should be noted that in 2023, amendments were made to the regulatory legal acts, which provide for a procedure for extending long-term supply contracts for up to 3 years.

In addition, state support includes tax breaks, state in-kind grants, and exemption from customs duties.

To support domestic manufacturers and manufacturers of the EAEU member states, preferences are provided when, when a domestic manufacturer or a manufacturer of an EAEU country participates in a tender, applications from other suppliers are not considered.

The unified distributor gives an advantage to Kazakhstani manufacturers when conducting state purchases of medicines and medical devices within the framework of the guaranteed volume of free medical care (GVFMC). This supports the development of domestic production and stimulates the growth of local enterprises.

The company also supports manufacturers in matters of product certification in accordance with international standards. This improves the quality of products and increases their competitiveness in both domestic and foreign markets. In addition, the distributor promotes the implementation of good manufacturing practices (GMP), which is a mandatory requirement for entering the state market. SK-Pharmaceuticals encourages the creation of new production facilities in Kazakhstan and the localization of foreign production.
