Today, on July 26, representatives of the Single Distributor met with Sergey Biryukov, Director of the AGEP'C Public Foundation.
At the meeting, issues of interaction of a Single Distributor with patient organizations in terms of drug provision within the guaranteed volume of free medical care and in the system of compulsory social health insurance were discussed.
The timeliness and continuity of drug provision is an important aspect of healthcare systems around the world. The issue of providing each patient with free medicines for socially significant diseases is under special control and is being worked out manually for prompt delivery to each medical organization. At the same time, the principles of patient orientation are a priority for a Single Distributor.
It should be noted that one of the main tasks of the Ministry of Health and the Single Distributor is to organize work so that the system of providing medicines can quickly and clearly respond to changes in demand, be flexible in any emergency situation and focus primarily on the needs of patients.
To date, the process of forming applications for medicines is transparent for patients. There is an interactive directory on the website of the Single Distributor, where patients can track all information on the application of medical organizations for medicines online: has an application for the desired drug been placed by a medical organization, in what quantity and according to what schedule, as well as its availability at the moment and the planned dates of the next deliveries.
In addition, in order to track issues of free drug provision, to work with patients directly, a Single distributor has a contact center with a short number 1439. It accumulates all the data from the population about failures in the supply of medicines.
The operators of the contact center, together with the curators of the regions and regional representatives of the single distributor, work out each complaint about the facts of under-receipt of available medicines with monitoring of the actual receipt of drugs by patients.
As part of the program to Restart the activities of a Single Distributor, the implementation of a new patient-oriented planning model was initiated. To date, with the direct participation of employees of SK-Pharmacy, the Ministry of Health is conducting a pilot on the developed draft Rules and methodology for the formation of needs within the framework of the GVFMC and in the system of CHSI.
In addition, in order to prevent interruptions in the country's drug supply, an irreducible stock of up to 25% of the total amount of purchased medicines and medical products for socially important diseases has been formed at the expense of the Single Distributor's own funds. It, in turn, will allow for uninterrupted drug provision, mitigation of the risks of incorrect planning, prompt response to the needs of medical support in case of emergencies.
Chairman of the Single Distributor Yerkhat Iskaliyev stressed the importance of such meetings for the prompt resolution of emerging issues on medical supply. In turn, the director of the AGEP'C Public Foundation, Sergey Biryukov, supported the initiatives of the Single Distributor to improve the drug supply system, focused on the importance of timely delivery of drugs, and also expressed readiness to continue active interaction.
