SK-PHARMACY LLP AND THE NETHERLANDS PHARMACY COMPANY KAZORANGE DISCUSSED LOCALIZATION PROSPECTS IN KAZAKHSTAN

The Single Distributor, with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, held a meeting with the Dutch company Kazorange, where plans for cooperation in the field of pharmaceuticals were discussed.

The meeting was attended by Andrey Karstens, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Kazakhstan, Alexander Diamandidis, Director of Commerce and Compliance at Kazorange, Richard Van Den Brink, Director of Technical Operations and Finance, Edward Munning Schmid, Director of Sourcing and Strategy.

During the meeting, the prospects for expanding investment cooperation, localization of production through the transfer of technology and distribution experience in the pharmaceutical industry were discussed.

As part of the activities carried out to support the development of domestic production of pharmaceutical products, the importance of which was noted by the Head of State in his Address, the Single Distributor takes the initiative to provide a platform for major drug brands to enter the country from packaging to the full production cycle.

It should be noted that Kazorange is a new supplier of pharmaceutical products from the Kingdom of the Netherlands, which plans to focus on long-term cooperation with Kazakhstan.

Key importance for the industry today is the development of the production of expensive innovative products, the promotion of the industry in the direction of technology transfer, the localization of original medicines and the production of substances. The Government of Kazakhstan has adopted and is already implementing the Comprehensive Plan for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry until 2025. HEALTHY NATION National Project for 2021-2025 has been developed, where one of the areas is the development of pharmaceutical science and the creation of new industries with the participation of world players.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed interest in cooperation. It was noted that it is necessary to consolidate joint efforts for mutually beneficial cooperation.
