On June 8, 2022, on the eve of the Day of the Medical Worker, the Single Distributor took part in the III Kazakhstan Healthcare Forum in Almaty.
This event has been held since 2018 under the auspices of the corporate fund Kazakhstan Growth Forum (KGF) and gathers more than 200 offline guests on its site, including heads of leading public and private medical institutions, representatives of pharmaceutical companies, technology sector experts and representatives of government agencies.
Since KGF is a platform for a constructive and open dialogue in the field of healthcare in Kazakhstan, global trends and challenges facing Kazakh medicine, the impact of economic and geopolitical crises on the development of domestic medicine, as well as the best world practices were discussed.
During the event, the topics of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, digitalization, international experience in medicine were also concerned.
Within the framework of the forum, an award ceremony was held in the nomination The Best Medical Officer 2022 from the corporate fund Kazakhstan Growth Forum and the Medical Clinic "Keruen-Medicus" (Almaty), the Medical Center "Nur-Avicenum" (Taldykurgan) and the Medical Clinic "Dau-Med" (Shymkent) were awarded.
This year, the forum has become a place where there is an opportunity to discuss topical issues of domestic healthcare in the country in 4 strategic directions.
Recall that the Head of State Kosym-Jomart Tokayev in his Message noted that the increase in labor productivity, the development of innovations, the introduction of artificial intelligence have become the main factors of global progress.
Medical innovation promises new methods for preventing, diagnosing, and controlling diseases, as well as new drugs and technology to track and treat different types of disease. At the same time, medical innovation is about expanding the knowledge base and transforming current technology and business models to better meet changing needs and expectations.
Thus, Professor of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Dr. Joseph Tucker spoke about social innovations in the healthcare system at the forum.
Member of the American Health Association, President of the NGO "Academy of Preventive Medicine" Almaz Sharman made a presentation on the technology of healthy nutrition and health management. Nargiz Suleimenova, Senior Associate of the Department of Tax and Legal Services also presented a report on the main aspects of drug price regulation in Kazakhstan.
During the forum at the discussion meeting, the Chairman of the Board of SK-Pharmacy LLP, Yerkhat Iskaliyev, made a report on the development of the country's pharmaceutical industry and noted that today the development of domestic pharmaceutical production is one of the priority tasks set for the industry by the Head of State. “Taking this opportunity, I would like to note that to popularize domestic pharmaceutical brands, we are planning to launch the Farm made in KZ project, Ye. Iskaliyev added.
Also, attention was paid to personnel issues in the healthcare industry and during the discussion the main problems and their possible solutions were announced.
The parties noted that human resources determine the efficiency of health care systems, the quality and accessibility of medical care provided to the population. It is highly qualified personnel in the country's healthcare system that makes the industry efficient, affordable and improves the quality of medical care.
At the end of the Forum, the participants expressed confidence that this event served as a unique platform for a constructive and open dialogue and will play an important role in the future implementation of the tasks set, and also contributes to the further development of domestic medicine.
