THE CURRENT STATE OF THE PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY OF THE EEU COUNTRIES WERE DISCUSSED WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE 13TH EURASIAN PHARMACEUTICAL FORUM

The Single Distributor took part in the 13th Eurasian Pharmaceutical Forum, where the company shared its vision of the strategy for expanding the availability of innovative and generic medicines in the markets of the countries of the Eurasia region.

The event is held in a hybrid format - in a traditional (in-person) format in Moscow, as well as online using a virtual platform. The forum brought together representatives of regulatory authorities, leading experts from the EEU countries, manufacturers and other participants in the pharmaceutical industry.

During the forum, the participants discussed the specifics of the development of the common pharmaceutical market of the EEU countries, the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the market and the pharmaceutical industry, registration of medicines under the general rules of the EEU, labeling of medicines within the EEU, reference pricing and price regulation for medicines in EEU. Focus sessions were also held on individual countries of the EEU and the CIS.

The focus of the session dedicated to the pharmaceutical market of Kazakhstan in modern realities was the Chairman of the Board of SK-Pharmacy LLP Yerkhat Iskaliyev, who noted that: a powerful incentive for the development of domestic production is the development of interaction with the major global pharmaceutical industry from the TOP-50 BigPharma, and the involvement of domestic scientific and research institutes, scientific laboratories of large medical universities like R&D centers, as well as their deployment in free economic and industrial zones. An important step in the implementation of the project will be the formation and maintenance of a close relationship between science, education and the current pharmaceutical industry, which will give impetus to the development of fundamental science and strengthen the scientific heritage of Kazakhstan.

As a result of the discussion, the Kazakh side invited world pharmaceutical corporations to develop contract manufacturing of medicines and medicinal raw materials, noting that this opens up broad prospects for the development of trade and economic cooperation between the countries.

In general, the participants shared their experience and vision in solving the challenges facing the pharmaceutical industry and noted the importance of cooperation between the EEU countries.
