On October 18, 2024, the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission approved the General Approaches to the Development of Regulation of Medicines Circulation within the EAEU in terms of collecting, analyzing and using real clinical practice data at a meeting.
The document describes the general approaches of the EAEU countries to the use of the said data and the evidence of the efficacy and safety of medicines obtained on their basis for their registration, pharmacovigilance and use in patients.
These measures will accelerate the introduction of new drugs to the EAEU market under special access programs and will expand the indications for the use of already known drugs.
Such approaches will help healthcare systems respond promptly to the emergence of new, previously unknown diseases.
