THE UNIFIED DISTRIBUTOR AND UNDP: INDONESIAN EXPERIENCE IN IMPLEMENTING THE SMILE SYSTEM

Representatives of SK-Pharmaceuticals and UNDP held an online meeting on improving the logistics of medicines and medical devices in Kazakhstan.

During the negotiations, UNDP Indonesia presented the Smile information system.

Smile is an innovative technological solution for improving the vaccine supply system in Indonesia. Thanks to this application, the Ministry of Health and distributor BioPharma monitor in real time the cold chain logistics and storage of all vaccines supplied by the state to integrated healthcare centers.

The parties discussed the technical aspects and the possibility of implementing a similar system in Kazakhstan to improve pharmaceutical logistics.

The logistics department and IT specialists of SK-Pharmaceuticals are interested in adopting the experience of colleagues from Indonesia. At the end of the meeting, the ZOOM participants agreed to continue fruitful cooperation.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and UNDP organized a meeting on improving the digitalization of the country's healthcare sector. SK-Pharmaceuticals also took part in it. There, UNDP presented the SMILE solution and also emphasized the successful joint project with SK Pharmaceuticals and the importance of effective planning and forecasting to achieve maximum effect.
