In Astana, the opening of the first GE HealthCare Academy Training Center in Kazakhstan for clinical training of doctors took place on the basis of the Astana Medical University NJSC.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Kazakh delegation led by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Azhar Giniyat and the management of GE HealthCare in Russia and the CIS represented by President and CEO Elena Legezina. The meeting was also attended by Dmitry Zanchev, Deputy General Director - Director of Business Development of GE HealthCare in the Central Asia region.
The Kazakhstan side was also represented by Vice-Ministers of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Beibut Yesenbaev and Vyacheslav Dudnik, Chairman of the Committee for Medical and Pharmaceutical Control of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Iskakov, acting. Director of the DLP of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ruslan Adylkanov, chief expert of the Department for the Development of the Pharmaceutical and Medical Industry of the KIFC Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kanatbek Berikov, Project Manager of JSC NC Kazakh Invest Dinara Isabekova, as well as Chairman of the Board of SK-Pharmacia LLP Erkhat Iskaliyev.

The goal of the training center is to improve the qualifications of diagnostic doctors (ultrasound doctors) in Kazakhstan. It will help subject specialists and experts acquire skills in operating medical equipment, use modern clinical capabilities in daily practice and maintain a high level of medical staff skills throughout the life of the equipment.
The training program at the GE HealthCare Academy training centers covers the most pressing issues in medical imaging. The courses are aimed at both young professionals and experienced doctors.
It is expected to conduct up to 10 training seminars per year, conduct classes by highly qualified university staff and GE HealthCare experts, as well as reinforce lecture materials with practical exercises on a modern ultrasound machine and the ability to connect to various webinars.
“The main effects of such a project will be the improvement of doctors’ qualifications and skills in working on any model of equipment produced by GE HealthCare, which will ensure patient safety, proper quality of results and optimal time for conducting the study,” noted the head of the Single Distributor, Erkhat Iskaliyev.
