On June 3, 2022, working trip to the city of Aktobe took place to study the creation of a medical and pharmaceutical cluster and production localization of medical equipment in the region by the type of R&D centers.
During this working trip, the Single Distributor held a meeting with Akim of the Aktobe region Ondasyn Urazalin on the creation of a medical and pharmaceutical cluster in the region, where state support tools for the development of clusters were presented. The parties noted that government agencies, science and business should work together on the tasks set and develop in tandem.
Also, as part of a working trip, to inspect the production site, get acquainted with the range of medical equipment produced, and discuss the possibility of localization, representatives of the Single Distributor visited the production site of Aktyubrentgen JSC.

The company specializes in the production of high-tech various X-ray diagnostic equipment aimed at the early diagnosis of many diseases.
The Kazakh manufacturer of high-tech X-ray diagnostic equipment Aktyubrentgen JSC has its own unique history and celebrated its 80th anniversary this May.
Further, at a meeting with the leadership and staff of the Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov, questions were raised on the training of engineering personnel in medical technology, the training of specialists in IT medicine.
Along with this, as part of a working trip, in order to discuss issues on the formation of medical equipment, organization of service, used medical information systems, a meeting was held with the heads of medical organizations of the Health Department of Aktobe region.
Following the results of the meetings, the participants noted that the creation of medical and pharmaceutical clusters is a painstaking work that requires the creation of a single platform for the interaction of all involved institutions and companies.
It should be recalled that the Head of State noted the importance of cooperation with global pharmaceutical corporations, attracting investors, ensuring technology transfer and the latest developments. The share of medicines and medical products of domestic production must be increased from the existing 17% to 50% by 2025.
One of the main directions of the Comprehensive Plan for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry until 2025 adopted by the Government is the development of pharmaceutical science and the creation of new industries with the participation of world players.
In this regard, it seems appropriate to create medical and pharmaceutical clusters through the involvement of domestic research institutes, scientific laboratories, large medical universities, domestic production sites, the involvement of investment project support institutions, local executive bodies, as well as the deployment of clusters in free economic and industrial zones by type R&D centers.

Aktyubrentgen JSC - at the end of 1941, the Moscow Union State X-ray Plant was evacuated to Aktyubinsk, Kazakh SSR. In a short time, which was determined by the special requirements of wartime, an effective production base was prepared, and in May 1942 the enterprise began to produce defense products. A medical-pharmaceutical cluster is a group of geographically localized interconnected innovative firms - drug developers, manufacturing companies; suppliers of equipment, components, specialized services; infrastructure facilities: research institutes, universities, technology parks, business incubators and other organizations that complement each other and enhance the competitive advantages of individual companies and the cluster as a whole.
This is an important strategic direction that solves several socially significant tasks at once. This is a matter of new job positions, raising the level of the scientific base, the transition to GMP standards, the creation of innovative drugs, the popularization of the domestic pharmaceutical industry and, of course, the economic development of the region in which the cluster is being built. Combining the efforts of Kazakhstani companies around the creation of clusters in different regions of the country and investing in their development both from the state and private capital will ensure the growth of production of import-substituting products and attract foreign companies to the construction of relevant industries in Kazakhstan.
