The MedTech II International Forum on Medical Technology rightfully retains the status of the most effective dialogue platform for identifying new development opportunities and finding reliable business partnerships. At the Forum site, meetings were held in B2B and G2B formats with more than 10 companies that presented projects with unique technologies that are interesting for implementation in Kazakhstan.
Participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with specific project proposals, mechanisms for protecting foreign investment and foreign economic activity in Kazakhstan, and the successful experience of other companies. And meetings in the G2B and B2B formats, in turn, made it possible to analyze the prospects for cooperation, understand the interests and needs of future partners, and discuss new ideas and investment projects.
Ruslan Adylkanov, Deputy Director of the Drug Policy Department, Yerkhat Iskaliyev, Chairman of the Board of SK-Pharmacy LLP, and Nikolai Palinka, Head of the Medical Equipment Supply Department of SK-Pharmacy LLP, took part in the negotiations from the Kazakh side.
Meetings in G2B formats were held with representatives of global giants such as GE Healthcare, Roche Diagnostics, Philips Healthcare, Medtronic.
In his Message, the Head of State instructed to intensify cooperation with global corporations and ensure the transfer of technologies and the latest developments, as well as the share of medicines and medical products of domestic production should be increased from the existing 17 to 50% already in 2025.
For high-quality treatment of patients, it is necessary to equip medical institutions with modern diagnostic and treatment-and-prophylactic equipment through the effective functioning of the medical equipment market and the availability of a list of conscientious suppliers.
Earlier, the President of the country instructed to switch to a centralized procurement of medical equipment on the basis of the Single Distributor, following the example of the procurement of medicines and medical devices. In pursuance of these instructions, work has begun with global manufacturers of medical equipment to develop mechanisms for centralization, including on the basis of localization of production.
The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in order to attract foreign investors to the domestic pharmaceutical industry, supports initiatives on the implementation of investment projects. Also, in order to fruitfully interact with the global medical industry and find effective ways to localize the production of medical equipment from recognized brands in Kazakhstan, state support measures are being created.
The concept of B2B meetings is to organize business meetings in advance between forum participants from Kazakhstan and foreign current and potential suppliers of equipment and services, investors and representatives of industry companies. Participation in this project guarantees the most efficient use of opportunities to establish new contacts with Kazakh partners, the acquisition of new customers, clients and suppliers.
In turn, the Kazakh side spoke about the interests in cooperation with the world's giants in the production of medical equipment. The meeting participants exchanged contacts and agreed to continue cooperation.
The forum is held at the initiative of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, , the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, SK-Pharmacy LLP, with the support of the Kazakh exhibition company Iteca, the intellectual online platform E-forum.net and QBP.
